CN seeks to boost its environmental stewardship, and the use of compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered hostlers just might help elevate its sustainability standing a bit more. In this web-exclusive article, CN Intermodal Project Officer Ryan Kram describes how and why the Class I first developed, then implemented a CNG hostler program at two intermodal facilities, including the railroad's largest: the Brampton Intermodal Terminal in suburban Toronto.
