CN today announced it will move its headquarters to real estate developer Kevric's 600 DLG project, located at 600 De La Gauchetiere West in downtown Montreal.

A 20-year lease begins in 2028 and covers the building's first 18 floors, totaling more than 440,000 square feet. CN will start moving certain departments in 2026, CN officials said in a press release.

CN's current headquarters has been located at 935 rue De La Gauchetiere Ouest since 1961. The Class I will be moving into what was National Bank’s headquarters. National Bank relocated to the new National Bank Place tower, also in downtown Montreal.

CN has been part of downtown Montreal for more than 100 years, said CN Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Ghislain Houle.

"Our employees are our greatest competitive advantage and we were careful in choosing our new headquarters," Houle said. "We want to keep inspiring greater innovation and collaboration in a workplace that will nurture our employees' growth."
