Emilio Sacristán
Emilio Sacristán Roy
director general of AMF


In late 2004, Emilio Sacristán Roy was named director general of Asociación Mexicana de Empresas Ferrocarrileras A.C., which represents the interests of Mexico's freight and passenger railroads, and the suppliers that serve them. Sacristán, who worked at Mexcian federal agencies for nearly 40 years, helped shaped the country's railroad privatization in the mid- to late 1990s. He's also an educator, serving as a professor of economic theory at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México since the mid-1960s. He also serves on the faculty for the Intermodal Transportation Institute's Executive Master's Program at the University of Denver.
