Forbes magazine has named CSX as a top employer in Florida and BNSF Railway a top employer in Kansas, based on Statista market research.
The individual state rankings are part of Forbes' larger "Best-In-State Employers" list. CSX placed 29 in Florida, and BNSF placed 21 in Kansas. The magazine evaluates companies on their workplace culture, employee satisfaction and professional development opportunities, CSX officials said in a press release.
Forbes partnered with Statista to survey more than 160,00 employees across the United States. Participants, who all work for companies with at least 500 employees, were asked to rate their employers on factors such as wage parity, work culture, career advancement and how employers address critical workplace issues like sexual harassment.
Data was collected over the past three years and weighted to prioritize recent feedback and responses from current employees. This year's rankings included 1,417 companies across the United States. The full list of America's Best-In-State Employers 2025 can be viewed here.
