Dow Mexico recognizes KCSM's best practices
Kansas City Southern recently received Dow Mexico’s Honor of Merit award. The Class I is among 17 of the shipper’s 30 logistics suppliers to receive the award, which recognizes best practices in safety, environment, social, financial and operational functions.
Dow Mexico honored Kansas City Southern de México S.A. de C.V.’s (KCSM) service, security and environmental practices, according to an item posted on the “KCS News” web page.
In December 2010, the railroad recognized Dow for helping save 8,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, which were calculated based on movements from Nov. 1, 2009, to Oct. 31, 2010.
“Dow is a very important cross-border customer, and due to the tireless efforts of the entire KCS team, especially the transportation, customer solutions, IT and security departments, we’ve grown our business with Dow,” said KCSM Vice President of Sales and Marketing David Eaton. “This is a tribute to KCS' commitment to service excellence."
