KCS crafts logo to commemorate 125th anniversary

advertisement

Kansas City Southern recently developed a 125th anniversary commemorative logo to recognize its long history.

KCS’ earliest predecessor, the 40-mile Kansas City Suburban Belt line, was incorporated on Jan. 8, 1887, and began operation in 1890, serving as a connection to, and performing local switching for, most of the major trunk lines serving Kansas City, Mo.

An abbreviated history of how KCS was formed is accessible via a link in the “about KCS” section of the Class I’s web site at www.kcsouthern.com.
