CSX was recently recognized at the 2024 Navy Employer Recognition Event as a civilian employer that has demonstrated support for its “citizen-sailor” employees, going beyond the requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act.
CSX was one 47 companies honored at the event held in San Diego, according to a CSX news release.
"CSX is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment for all our employees, including those who serve in the military. This recognition is a testament to our dedication to supporting our citizen-Sailors as they balance their civilian careers and military duties," said Stephanie Noel, CSX vice president of human resources and chief diversity officer.
CSX was also recently named one of Time Magazine’s “World's Most Sustainable Companies” for 2024.
CSX was cited as the only U.S. Class I on Time's list for having a commitment to efficiency and supply chain engagement, management and conservation of water resources, as well as a focus on the safety and health of the public, customers and employees in all aspects of its operations, according to a second CSX release.
