Chair Shuster announces House T&I subcommittee assignments

House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-Pa.) yesterday announced subcommittee assignments for the 114th Congress.

U.S. Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Calif.) will return this session as chair of the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials. The subcommittee's ranking member will be U.S. Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.).

Chairing the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit will be U.S. Rep. Sam Graves (R-Mo.). U.S. Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) will serve as the ranking member.

U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.) will chair the Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation, with U.S. Rep. John Garamendi (D-Calif.) as the ranking member.

The committee also approved rules and an oversight plan during its organizational meeting.
