The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) has proposed a $1.4 billion operating budget for fiscal-year 2017 and released financial projections for fiscal years 2018 through 2021.The FY2017 operating budget would be 3 percent higher than the previous year. The proposed FY2017 budget includes no fare increases, SEPTA officials said in a press release. The next fiscal year begins July 1, 2016, and runs through June 30, 2017.The agency plans to up the price of fares in 2018 and 2021.SEPTA will hold public hearings on the plan late next month.
