Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority President/Chief Executive Officer Nathaniel Ford soon will be applying his focus on excellence to transportation testing processes.
American Public Transit Exam Institute June 12 appointed Ford to the International Transit Review Board, which ensures the integrity of the testing process and oversees the research and development of the Institutes’ transportation certificates.
The certification process espouses assessment, training and certification as three principals necessary to have successful long-term effect on employee development.
"The Institute’s process links very well with the transportation industry’s workforce development and retention initiatives," said Dave Stumpo, MARTA board chair, in a prepared statement. "It is time to look into the future and help grow our industry."
