NYCT contracts Spear Technologies to provide asset-management software

MTA New York City Transit (NYCT) recently awarded a contract to Spear Technologies to provide its 3i™ Infrastructure Manager™ software for the Department of Subways Maintenance of Way Division.
The division manages — which maintains NYCT’s track, switches, signals, electromechanical assets, and stations — will use the Infrastructure Manager’s linear inspections and linear work orders to manage track assets, according to a prepared statement.
The software will enable NYCT to cross reference multiple types of linear asset identification.
