ASLRRA solicits bidders to develop short-line industry database
advertisement
American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) is seeking bids from firms interested in developing a database describing the short-line industry, and demonstrating its contribution to Class Is, shippers, and national, regional and local economies.
The successful firm also would analyze the database to determine the short-line industry's public benefits, and establish a process to update data and conduct future analyses, according to ASLRRA's bi-monthly newsletter released Dec. 3.
Bids, which are due to ASLRRA's Washington, D.C., headquarters Jan. 3, should include a description of how data will be collected, how an analysis would be undertaken, which sources of information would be used, brief resumes of individuals who'd undertake the work, a timetable and cost.
