CHSRA delays release of business plan by at least two weeks

Yesterday, California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) board chairman Tom Umberg directed agency staff to postpone the release of its business plan until at least Nov. 1. Originally scheduled to be unveiled on Oct. 14, the extra two weeks will give new board appointees “a chance to fully immerse themselves in the plan and offer their own feedback,” according to a press release.

CHSRA’s newest board members, Dan Richard and Michael Rossi, were appointed to the board by California Gov. Jerry Brown in late August.

Once the plan is published, CHSRA will commence a 60-day public comment period, which includes public meetings to be scheduled in November and December.
