Infrastructure engineering firm HNTB Corp. recently appointed Adrian Share and Conrad Blankenzee to help manage the company’s high-speed rail practice in Florida.

Share was named senior vice president and program director of passenger rail for the Florida Rail Enterprise, which was formed by the Florida Department of Transportation last year to oversee high-speed rail development. He has 27 years of experience in program and project management, high-speed rail and transit, and roadway/bridge design.

Share previously worked for 12 years in HNTB’s Boston office and six years in the Florida office. After leaving HNTB in 2004, Share served as SVP for WSA and managed the firm’s Florida and Caribbean region. He led WSA’s efforts to assist Florida DOT during the high-speed stimulus application process.

Blankenzee has been appointed as HNTB’s senior rail specialist, responsible for the systems development for several high-speed rail projects in Florida. He previously served as project director for New Zealand’s Auckland Regional Transportation Authority.

HNTB, in partnership with Wilbur Smith Associates (WSA), was selected by the Florida DOT in March 2010 to serve as program manager for state’s high-speed rail project between Tampa and Orlando.
