The Indiana High Speed Rail Association recently unveiled a redesigned website that “is more relevant and informative in defining the Midwest Regional Rail System, and the economic benefits it will bring to Indiana,” according to a press release.

Accessible at www.indianahighspeedrail.org, the site includes facts and statistics about the economic, energy and environmental benefits of the proposed high-speed rail system. It also features the passenger-train portion of Indiana’s new state rail plan.

Meanwhile, the association also is working to develop a business plan that will highlight a high-speed rail system’s potential economic impact on the state. The website will serve as the primary hub for the plan once it is released.

The proposed Midwest Regional Rail System would serve such Indiana cities as Gary, Warsaw, Fort Wayne, Lafayette and Indianapolis. About 630 miles of the 3,000-mile Midwest high-speed network runs through Indiana, according to the association.
