Michigan DOT issues RFP for Chicago-Detroit planning, environmental work

Yesterday, the Michigan Department of Transportation issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a planning, environmental and engineering services firm or team to complete a service development plan and Tier I Environmental Impact Statement for the 304-mile Chicago-Detroit/Pontiac rail corridor.

The RFP was issued in partnership with the Illinois and Indiana departments of transportation and Norfolk Southern Railway.

Proposals are due Dec. 12.
