On Aug. 22, the Port of Grays Harbor, Wash., and The Pasha Group marked the 100,000th export vehicle processed for Chrysler by Pasha Automotive Services (PAS). The vehicles are shipped out of Grays Harbor to Asian ports.

The number of exported Chrysler vehicles shipped out of Grays Harbor greatly exceeds the estimated 25,000 units a year anticipated at the inception of the Chrysler business in January 2010, port officials said in a prepared statement. PAS opened an auto processing operation at the port a year earlier.

Mainline rail service to industrial properties and the port’s marine terminals is provided by Union Pacific Railroad and BNSF Railway Co. via the Puget Sound and Pacific Railroad, which is owned by RailAmerica Inc. UP transports Chrysler vehicles to a port terminal.

“We are very excited and proud to be a part of this great milestone. We look forward to an ongoing partnership with Chrysler and Seim Car Carriers, The Pasha Group, Puget Sound and Pacific Railroad, and Union Pacific Railroad as they continue to bring more opportunities, jobs and prosperity to the community,” said Chuck Caldwell, the port commission’s president, in a prepared statement.
