The Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) commuter railroad served 5 million passengers last month, an 11% increase in ridership compared to March 2024 figures, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced yesterday.
Average weekday ridership in March was 194,127 passengers, a 9% increase from March 2024, PANYNJ officials said in a press release.
In first-quarter 2025, the PATH system served 13.4 million passengers, up 5.7% compared to the same period in 2024, port officials said.
Meanwhile, the port last month handled 516,757 loaded 20-foot equivalent units (TEUs), up 9.7% from loaded TEUs in March 2024.
