The Texas Coastal Bend Railroad (TCBR), Watco's newest short line, today launches service on a 63-mile line inside the Port of Corpus Christi in Texas.

To mark the railroad's launch, Watco unveiled two locomotives — emblazoned with the port’s logo — at a ribbon-cutting ceremony held yesterday. Five locomotives overall will serve multiple port customers, Watco  officials said in a press release.

In addition to TCBR, BNSF Railway Co., Union Pacific RailroadKansas City Southern and the port’s own rail line, Corpus Christi Rail Terminal, serve the port.

The port moves a large range of commodities, including wind turbine components, agricultural items, refined fuels and military cargo.
