Jaguar Transport Holdings has entered into an agreement with Union Pacific Corp. subsidiary Loup Logistics to operate the Dallas Transload Solution that’s located southeast of downtown Dallas and adjacent to Interstate 45.

Jaguar expects to begin operations at the seven-acre facility — which mostly transloads steel and lumber — today. The facility connects with a UP line and is equipped with three transload tracks, trucks scales, covered storage areas and other outdoor laydown space.

Dallas Transload Solution provides rail service for customers who want the efficiencies of rail but lack a physical site along a railroad, Jaguar officials said in a press release.

"This is a great opportunity to serve current and future customers in a very strategic location," said Tim Enayati, Jaguar’s senior vice president of commercial and industrial development. "We are excited to partner with Loup Logistics and build a team at the facility that will exceed expectations for our customers by providing safe and efficient service."

Dallas Transload Solution now is the sixth rail park operation for Jaguar. The company also serves such facilities as the West Memphis Transload in West Memphis, Arkansas, and the Marion Industrial Rail Park in Marion, Ohio. In addition, Jaguar owns and operates the Charlotte Western Railroad, Cimarron Valley Rail Road, Kinston Railroad and Lone Star & Eastern Railroad.
