The Belvidere & Delaware River Railway Co. Inc. (B&DR) recently filed an exemption notice with the Surface Transportation Board to lease 10 track miles from Black River & Western Railroad (BR&W) in New Jersey.

The 16-mile BR&W interchanges with Norfolk Southern Railway on the line, which runs between Ringoes and Hunterdon County, N.J.

BR&W and the 17-mile B&DR are owned and operated by the Black River Railroad System, which also offers locomotive and track leasing, contract switching, locomotive and car repair, and track engineering and construction services, and operates scenic trains between Flemington & Ringoes, N.J.
