Construction management firm Burns Engineering recently acquired Heery Transportation Group (formerly known as Electrack Inc.) from Heery International Inc.

Heery Transportation provides engineering and construction management services for electric traction power and overhead contact systems on light-rail, monorail, people-mover and heavy-rail systems. Burns plans to integrate the company into its transit division, which has worked with Heery Transportation on several transit projects during the past five years.

"[The acquisition] enables us to use our complementary knowledge and experience to open up new opportunities," said Burns’ transit division Vice President Joseph Marchese in a prepared statement.
