Wausaukee Composites Inc. recently obtained contracts to supply components to two transit-car builders.

The company is providing operator compartment consoles, dash covers and window frames to ALSTOM Transport, which will install the parts in R-160 subway cars it’s building for MTA New York City Transit.

Wausaukee also obtained a contract from Kinkisharyo International to provide molded composite interior components for 36 light-rail vehicles being built for Phoenix’s Valley Metro Transit Authority. Wausaukee will supply side panels, window masks, exterior panels and side skirts.

In addition, the company is providing exterior front masks to ALSTOM Transport for Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s passenger-rail cars; composite bathroom modules to RailPlan International, which is refurbishing Amtrak’s Amfleet I Coach and Superliner Sleeper cars; and interior components to Kinkisharyo for Dallas Area Rapid Transit light-rail vehicles.
