Midland Manufacturing recently named Thomas Zant president. He will report to David Crouse, president of Midland parent OPW Fluid Transfer Group.

During the past four years, Zant held various positions at Siemens Water Technologies/USFilter Corp., most recently as general manager of the company’s Stranco and Wallace & Tiernan products. He also garnered engineering, lean manufacturing and international operations experience during stints with Pall Corp., Harper-Wyman Corp. and General Dynamics Corp.

Midland supplies railroad tank car safety valves and equipment, as well as bottom and top loading and unloading valves, pressure relief valves, level gauge devices and monitoring equipment.
