The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) has restored service on the Blue/Green line after an eight-week shutdown due to a track construction project between Buckeye-Woodhill Station and Shaker Square.

During the project, RTA’s engineering and construction team replaced 7,000 ties, 29,600 e-clip fasteners, 54,800 spikes, 27,400 feet of rail and 12 turnouts.

The project's cost was $8 million. The last time this section of track was repaired was in the early 1980s, GCRTA officials said in a press release.
