Utah Transit Authority to release draft environmental study for light-rail extension

Tomorrow, the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) will host an open house to discuss the draft environmental study the agency recently completed for the proposed Airport TRAX line.
The six-mile line will extend light-rail service between Salt Lake City International Airport and downtown Salt Lake City. The study assesses the potential environmental impacts and mitigation measures associated with the proposed corridor, such as impacts to vehicle traffic, open space, wetlands, noise and vibration, and air quality.
