Sound Transit to begin serving new Mukilteo station

advertisement

Today, Sound Transit will launch Sounder service to Mukilteo, Wash., adding a stop to its Everett-to-Seattle commuter-rail corridor.

The agency recently completed the station’s first phase of construction, which included a platform on the north side of the tracks. To begin next year, the second phase calls for building a south platform and pedestrian bridge.

The station is part of a larger effort to revitalize Mukilteo’s waterfront neighborhood. Sound Transit worked closely with the Port of Everett, cities of Mukilteo and Everett, and Washington State Ferries to integrate the station with the surrounding neighborhood.
