SEPTA to lease passenger cars from NJ Transit
advertisement
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) will lease eight rail cars from New Jersey Transit to ease overcrowding on the Regional Rail system. During the past several months, SEPTA has had an influx of riders because of high gasoline prices.
The cars will provide more seats for passengers until SEPTA’s new cars begin arriving next year. The authority has ordered 120 new regional rail cars from Rotem USA.
