Metro Transit partners with Google to offer trip planner

Add the Twin Cities’ Metro Transit to the list of agencies partnering with Google to provide trip-planning services.
To be launched in time for the Republican National Convention, which will be held Sept. 1-4 in the Twin Cities, the trip planner will enable customers to enter a starting point, destination and time of travel, and obtain a transit itinerary that includes step-by-step instructions.
The planner is similar to one on Metro Transit’s Web site, but will feature mapping, satellite imaging and street-view photography.
