advertisement
The Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority, an affiliate of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, recently contracted Hill International to provide program management services for the Phase 2A portion of the Foothill Extension.
The $458 million project calls for extending LACMTA's Gold Line light-rail corridor 11.4 miles from Pasadena to Azusa, Calif. If the authority appropriates funds for the project in its 2010 budget, the line could open by December 2013.
Hill will be responsible for overseeing the design/build contract, including design, construction, quality assurance/quality control, safety, community involvement, business impact and environmental mitigations.
