Jeffrey Heller and Cary Booth have assumed additional responsibilities in Norfolk Southern Corp.'s intermodal department, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Alan Shaw announced last week.

Heller, most recently VP intermodal and automotive marketing, is now VP intermodal and automotive and will report to Shaw. Heller will continue to be responsible for intermodal and automotive marketing and sales, adding responsibility for intermodal operations and systems, according to a company press release.

Booth, most recently assistant VP intermodal service development, is now group VP intermodal operations, with responsibility for intermodal terminals, equipment and service. Booth will report to Heller.

With their expanded roles, Heller and Booth have assumed the responsibilities formerly conducted by Shaw as the company's previous VP of intermodal operations.

"This streamlines our internal processes and puts two of the railroad industry’s top intermodal experts closer to the customers they serve," Shaw said.

Heller joined NS' international intermodal group in 1994. He was named group VP international intermodal in 2004 and then VP of intermodal and automotive marketing in 2013.

Booth joined NS in 1984 as a management trainee. He served in positions of increasing responsibility in the marketing and intermodal departments before being named director intermodal operations East in 1998. He became assistant VP of intermodal service development in 2006.
