Florida’s Brightline passenger railroad has begun a partnership with AccesRail, a rail-air intermodal solutions provider, to create a global distribution system booking platform accessible from around the world.
AccesRail enables partner railways to sell their tickets and passes on a shared cost basis via the GDS using the same booking and ticketing method as airlines, Brightline officials said in a press release.
The new booking system comes during the one-year anniversary of Brightline’s completion of its Miami-to-Orlando line. It system enables riders to book trips between the Orlando International Airport and the stops along Brightline's route, including West Palm Beach and Miami.
“Brightline connects travelers from around the world to two of the most popular tourism regions in the United States that attract millions of visitors from around the world each year,” said Julie Sharenow, vice president of sales, Brightline. “Our partnership with AccesRail enables travel partners from across the globe to easily reserve seats with effortless efficiency on the standard network by simply using code 9B.”
