Brightline, the Florida-based passenger-rail company, this week debuted its new Freedom Express, a train designed to recognize the United States' 250th anniversary.

The 10-coach train features a patriotic wrap commemorating historic moments in the nation's history. The train was designed in partnership with America250, the national organization established by Congress to commemorate the anniversary, Brightline officials said in a press release.

The train will be in regular rotation in Florida now through July, they said.

“Brightline is honored to help lead this national celebration and mark a pivotal moment in how America connects and moves,” said Brightline Florida CEO Patrick Goddard. “This is one of the most meaningful and visually powerful train wraps yet, and we’re proud to share it with communities across the state of Florida.”

Each coach of the Freedom Express commemorates historic moments in U.S. history, including the signing of the Declaration of Independence; George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River during the Revolutionary War; President Lincoln's delivery of his Gettysburg Address; the 1869 Golden Spike ceremony connecting the nation by completing a transcontinental rail line; Martin Luther King Jr.'s 1963 speech at the Lincoln Memorial; and Apollo 11's 1969 landing on the moon.

Brightline will offer other ways to mark the 250th anniversary. More information is available here
