Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) has earned a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its fiscal-year 2026 annual budget and 20-year financial plan.
The award honors the agency's commitment to strong financial management and transparent government budgeting, DART officials said in a press release.
To be recognized, DART's budget documents needed to satisfy national guidelines and demonstrate excellence as a policy, financial plan, operations guide and communication tool. More than 1,900 government entities participated in GFOA's budget award program this year.
"This recognition highlights [our] continued focus on disciplined financial planning and long-term sustainability," DART CFO Jamie Adelman said. "Our FY2026 budget and 20-year financial plan ensure we are making strategic, responsible decisions that support both current operations and future financial stability."
