Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) has met multiple growth and service improvement milestones over the past year since issuing its strategic plan in 2024, agency officials announced this week.
The agency created its Point B strategic plan last year to transform DART into a cleaner, safer, more efficient and highly used transportation system that connects communities across North Texas, DART officials said in a press release.
During 2025, DART launched DART Transform, a 10-year $2.5 billion system modernization program; raised its average rider satisfaction score; invested $110 million in security, cleanliness and reliability projects; earned the American Public Transportation Association's gold-level distinction in sustainability commitment; opened the 26-mile commuter-rail Silver Line between Plano and the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport; opened the Consolidated Dispatch Command Center; and advanced six transit-oriented development projects.
"We made a promise to be transparent to all our stakeholders about how we are working with our employees, for our customers, and in partnership with our communities and stakeholders to strengthen our system," said DART President and CEO Nadine Lee. "This report not only delivers on that promise but also celebrates the work underway to deliver a transit system that is clean, safe, more connected, and ready for the future of North Texas."
