The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) and Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative (LANI) have obtained a planning grant from the California Department of Transportation to develop a community linkage and revitalization concept plan for the proposed Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor Florence/West light-rail station.

The concept will define a range of potential improvements that would link surrounding neighborhoods and the proposed West Boulevard station to enhance access to the Crenshaw/LAX transit corridor, incorporate a vision for future development and promote economic revitalization, LACMTA officials said in a prepared statement.

LANI will host a series of public information meetings during the planning process.
