The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) will host two public meetings in May to give an update on the design of four stations as part of its Green Line Extension project.Held in conjunction with the the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), the meetings are scheduled for May 14 and 21.The Green Line Extension, which will add track northwest of a relocated Lechmere Station in East Cambridge, Mass., is aimed at addressing "longstanding transportation inequities" in the region, according to the project's website. It also supports municipal plans for sustainable growth and development, the site said.The extension will run from the Lechmere Station to Union Square in Somerville and College Avenue in Medford, MassDOT officials said.
