Metrolink, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Burbank Bob Hope Airport officials will break ground tomorrow for the Bob Hope Airport-Hollywood Way Metrolink Station in Burbank, Calif.

The station, to be located at San Fernando/Hollywood Way, will supplement and expand "plane-to-train connectivity," Metrolink officials said in a media advisory.

Meanwhile, Sound Transit officials have set June 24 for their ceremonial groundbreaking to begin the Tukwila Sounder Station project, which calls for replacing a temporary station with a permanent one. The station is located south of Longacres Way and west of BNSF Railway Co. tracks in Tukwila, Wash.

Riders who use the Tukwila stop will have use of a "completely renovated" station when construction is completed next year, Sound Transit officials said in a press release.

The station will have nearly twice the amount of parking and feature improved transit connections, artwork, permanent shelters, and more pedestrian and bike pathways.
