Metrolink has hired Kevin Gray to serve as chief technology officer.
Gray's appointment comes as the Los Angeles metropolitan area prepares for an influx of visitors during the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Metrolink officials said in a press release.
As a member of the executive board, he will drive digital modernization and process optimization, they said.
Gray also will oversee Metrolink's Integrated Digital and Technology Services Department, which manages cybersecurity, enterprise applications, train control systems, network operations, fare collection and technology infrastructure.
Gray spent the past six years as chief information officer for the city of Burbank, California, where he oversaw website development, digital infrastructure and cybersecurity. Previous experience also includes VP of global media and IT for Viacom and VP of IT infrastructure for Paramount Pictures.
