Minnesota railroad authority seeks opinions on Riverview Corridor study

The Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority will host two open houses to solicit public input on a transit study for the Riverview Corridor between Union Depot in St. Paul to Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport and the Mall of America in Minnesota.

The Oct. 29 and Nov. 6 meetings in St. Paul were scheduled as part of the pre-project development study, which is focused on identifying opportunities to improve mobility and enhance economic development within the corridor, authority officials said in a meeting notice. The authority is leading the study, which is a joint local and regional planning effort.

Scheduled for completion in late 2015, the study will involve reviewing the viability of transit modes, transit location, engineering issues, community needs and preferences, and estimated costs.
