NYC-area port authority, TSA to test passenger screening technology at PATH stations

Today, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will launch a security screening pilot program at various Port Authority Trans-Hudson stations.
TSA and the authority will test passive millimeter wave passenger screening technology, which is designed to detect various security threats, such as explosive devices hidden beneath clothing. Part of TSA's ongoing efforts to test new security technologies, the pilot will end July 10.
