The Regional Transportation District-Denver (RTD) has introduced its new RTD CONNECT Community Ambassador Program, which aims to provide community feedback to help shape the regional transit network's future service plans.
RTD CONNECT is an 18-month, districtwide operational analysis project that will evaluate the agency’s transit network and develop short- and long-term service plans, RTD officials said in a press release.
As part of the program, RTD will employ 30 Community Ambassadors, two for each of RTD's director districts.
The individuals will share project information, gather feedback and ensure their communities are informed about the project and able to share their perspectives on proposed changes. Applications to serve as an ambassador are being accepted through August 28.
RTD will also provide opportunities for community members to review and provide feedback on short-term service changes and long-term plans for investment and growth, including workshops, online and in-person meetings and surveys, agency officials said.
