Rocky Mountaineer has been named one of the best places to work in British Columbia’s "Top Employers" competition for a second consecutive time.

Rocky Mountaineer has a full-time workforce of more than 300 people located at the head office in Vancouver, the rail yard in Kamloops and globally in outside sales roles. This figure increases to more than 800 people during the train's operating season from April to October, with positions added onboard the trains and in Vancouver, Kamloops, Whistler, Quesnel and the Canadian Rockies at overnight destinations.

As part of its efforts to attract and retain employees, Rocky Mountaineer offers a range of career opportunities, competitive salaries with bonuses, a benefits package and RRSP matching program. Rocky Mountaineer also supports ongoing employee education and offers training and development programs for all managers, according to a press release.

New recruits receive two full days of on-boarding seminars to familiarize them with the culture.

"At Rocky Mountaineer we have a clear vision: To create life-changing experiences for our guests. It's the dedication, passion and innovation of our team members that make delivering on this vision possible," Steve Sammut, chief executive officer of Rocky Mountaineer, said in a press release. "We work together as one team to create a compelling, inspiring workplace, and encourage each other to strive for extraordinary outcomes in everything that we do."
