Seattle DOT unveils new site on capital projects

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) has launched an interactive site aimed at providing key status information on current large transportation projects in the city.

Known as the "Capital Projects Dashboard," the site provides information on projects with a budget greater than $500,000.

The data is drawn from various sources such as the city's financial management system and SDOT's project management and controls program, according to an entry on SDOT's blog last week.

Project information will be updated on a monthly basis.

The dashboard contains information on the Broadway Streetcar Extension, which is expected to cost $28.4 million to $35.4 million. That project is in the early design phase, according to the site.
