The Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet) on Dec. 3 will begin renovating the East 122nd Avenue MAX light-rail station in Portland.Like the Gresham City Hall station upgrades completed over the summer, the new project includes the installation of updated lighting and digital "TransitTracker" displays.Crews also will build larger windscreens and improved shelters at the East 122nd Avenue MAX Station. In addition, workers will deep clean and paint the station, and perform various surface repairs, TriMet officials said in a press release.The project is expected to wrap up in June 2018. The agency will install temporary platforms to keep the station open during the project and reduce impacts on riders. As part of its efforts to improve transit service, TriMet is renovating 14 of its oldest Blue Line light-rail stations.
