Ridership on Trinity Metro's bus and rail systems in Fort Worth, Texas, has grown "substantially" since the agency began offering free rides to Tarrant County College (TCC) students in May, the agency announced late last week.In October, Trinity Metro logged 14,130 TCC rides, up from 781 rides in May. In August, the agency agreed to add service to the college's northeast and southeast campuses, enabling students to access all TCC campuses at no cost.Students can use their IDs to board all Trinity Metro buses and the Trinity Railway Express between downtown Forth Worth and CentrePort Station. The agreement also will apply to TEXRail commuter service, which is slated to begin in January.
