The Tucson Sun Link Streetcar carried its millionth passenger late last week. The milestone occurred 44 days ahead of the streetcar's projected ridership figures, according to TV station KVOA.The rider, a student at the University of Arizona, received an annual Sun-Go pass, providing her with unlimited use on the streetcar, Sun Link officials said in a statement."Less than a year after launch, the people of Tucson have made the streetcar a popular mode of transportation, and the streetcar has helped to make downtown a success," said Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild.The roughly 4-mile streetcar will mark its first anniversary in July.
