Freight roads

  • Fortress Investment Group named John Giles president and CEO, and David Rohal, VP, of Florida East Coast Railway. They both hold the same posts at Fortress’ RailAmerica Inc. John McPherson, FECR’s president since 1999, retired.
  • The New York & Atlantic Railway promoted Paul Victor to president and Joel Torres to chief transportation and commercial officer; and named Mark Westerfield superintendent of mechanical.

Supply side

  • Southwest Signal Engineering Co. named Kash Krishnarao president and CEO to succeed James Mayer, who assumed the role of chairman.
  • Amsted Rail named John Wories Jr. president to succeed Stephen Smith, who was appointed VP and general counsel for Amsted Industries.
  • Carmanah Technologies Inc. named Ted Lattimore CEO to succeed Art Aylesworth, who took over as chairman.

Logistics firms

  • MHF Logistical Solutions Inc. named Tom Piatak president and CEO.
