Kansas City Southern recently promoted Ginger Adamiak from general director of investor relations and financial analysis to assistant vice president of sales and marketing in the carload business unit. She reports to Vice President of Sales and Marketing Natalie Putnam.

Adamiak has 24 years of experience in banking, investor relations, structured financing, leasing and market analysis, including 15 years in the transportation field, and financial posts with Household International and Continental Bank. She joined KCS in 2006 after serving GATX Corp. in various capacities for nine years.

Adamiak will be a good addition to the sales and marketing team because of her background in carload economics, financial modeling and project management, and her proficiency in English and Spanish, given the high volume of business moving between the United States and Mexico, said Putnam in a prepared statement.
