Anacostia Rail Holdings Inc. has promoted Michael Shore and James Bonner to senior management positions, the company announced late last week.

Shore was promoted to vice president-operations of the Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad (CSS) on Nov. 2. He has more than 23 years of railroad experience. After joining CSS in 2012, he advanced from superintendent to general superintendent. Prior to that, he was general manager of Chicago Rail Link since 2009.

Shore also served stints with Orient Ocean Container Lines and Burlington Northern Railroad, now BNSF Railway Co.

Anacostia named Bonner, who has more than 18 years of railroad experience, to vice president of the New York & Atlantic Railway (NY&A) on Nov. 1. Bonner has been director of sales and marketing at the railroad since January 2013.

Prior to joining NY&A, Bonner served as general manager at Connecticut Southern Railroad in Hartford, Conn. He also held operating posts with Otter Tail Valley Railroad, RailAmerica and Kyle Railroad Co., Anacostia officials said in a press release.
